Yogendra Yadav - A Lifestory
Grenadier: Bravery, Sacrifice, Victory; A Nation'S Unwavering Protector

A person known for bravery and strong commitment is a true hero of the Indian Army. His story, like a real action movie that is more exciting than any big movie from "Bollywood", shows us the strong spirit of our soldiers. Picture a situation more intense than the battle scenes in the movie "Border", but this time, it is not a movie – it is what a young soldier went through during the Kargil War. He was only 19 years old at the time, and he showed such bravery that he received the Param Vir Chakra, India's top award for courage. Think about the strong will of Captain Vikram Batra, another hero from Kargil; he has that same spirit. His actions during the attack on Tiger Hill in 01 May 1999 are legendary. He faced a lot of enemy fire, was hurt many times, but kept fighting, clearing enemy bunkers all by himself. As his colleague Naib Subedar Dashrath Singh once said, "His courage spread to everyone; it made us all want to fight harder." His story, which shows amazing bravery when facing great difficulty, continues to motivate soldiers and regular people. He is a true hero for the country, a symbol of giving, and a reminder that courage is not limited by age.
