He was a strong advocate for HinduMuslim unity and worked tirelessly to bridge the communal divide. He participated in the Round Table Conferences in London, advocating for constitutional reforms that would grant greater autonomy to India. Sapru's contributions extended beyond politics and law. He was a staunch social reformer, advocating for the abolition of untouchability, the promotion of education, and the upliftment of women. He was a strong believer in secularism and championed the rights of minorities. Tej Bahadur Sapru passed away on January 20, 1949, leaving behind a legacy of legal brilliance, political moderation, and social reform. He is remembered as a key architect of modern India, whose contributions helped pave the way for independence and a more just society.
