Sundar Pichai is a highly influential figure in the technology world, renowned for his leadership at Google and its parent company, Alphabet Inc. Born in Chennai, India, Pichai's early life was marked by a strong academic aptitude and a keen interest in technology, even without the pervasive access to computers that is common today. He pursued a degree in metallurgical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, demonstrating his foundational understanding of materials science and engineering principles. Recognizing his potential for innovation and leadership, Pichai then moved to the United States to further his education. He earned a Master of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University, followed by an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was named a Siebel Scholar and a Palmer Scholar.
