Sharad Kumar is an Indian para high jumper. He was born on March 1, 1992, in Patna, Bihar. This did not deter him from pursuing his passion for sports. He found his niche in high jump and dedicated himself to mastering the discipline.

Kumar has represented India in numerous international paraathletics competitions. He is a high performance athlete under the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS). Some of his notable achievements include a gold medal at the 2014 Asian Para Games in Incheon, South Korea, where he set a new Asian record. He also won a silver medal at the 2018 Asian Para Games in Jakarta, Indonesia. Kumar has also participated in the Paralympic Games, representing India at the 2012 London Paralympics, the 2016 Rio Paralympics, and the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. At the Tokyo Paralympics, he secured a bronze medal, marking a significant milestone in his career.
