Rakesh Roshan is an Indian film producer, director, screenwriter, and actor who works in Hindi films. He hails from a family with a rich cinematic and musical legacy. Starting his career as an actor in the 1970s, he appeared in 84 films, gaining recognition for supporting roles. In 1987, he transitioned to directing with Khudgarz, marking the start of his signature "K" titled films like Karan Arjun, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, Koi... Mil Gaya, and the Krish franchise, redefining Bollywood with sci-fi and superhero genres. Despite challenges, including an underworld attack and a cancer diagnosis in 2018, Roshan's resilience and innovative storytelling cemented his legacy. His close bond with his family, especially in launching his son Hrithik Roshan's career, remains central to his journey as a celebrated filmmaker.
