He was born on 06 July 1930, in Sankara Guptam, Andhra Pradesh. He started his music career when he was very young, performing when he was only six. This child who was very good at music quickly became a skilled artist. He was good at singing and also played many instruments well, like the violin, viola, mridangam, and kanjira. He did more than just perform live. He wrote a lot of music, with over 400 songs in different languages, like Telugu, Sanskrit, Kannada, and Tamil.
