A person, whose name is remembered in India's fight for freedom, was not just a young girl but showed great courage and love for her country. Born in 1924 in a village in Assam, their story is about giving up everything and being strong. Inspired by the Quit India Movement of 1942, they, at only 17 years old, joined a group of freedom fighters ready to die for their cause. They were fully committed to the cause, even though some wondered if they were too young. They reportedly said, "If I die while helping my country, I'll be proud," showing how strongly they felt. This is similar to what we see in movies like "Gandhi," where regular people do amazing things in tough situations. On 20 September 1942, they led a group of unarmed villagers to put up the Indian flag at the Gohpur police station. Even though the police warned them, and inspired by leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, they kept going, holding the flag up high. This act of standing up for what they believed in, like scenes from the movie "The Legend of Bhagat Singh," led to their sad death, as they were shot by the police. Their sacrifice became a way to encourage others in the freedom movement, making them a hero and a symbol of bravery. They are still a strong reminder of the sacrifices made by many people during India's fight for freedom.
