Inderjit Gill - A Lifestory

A long and amazing career in the Indian Army marked this person's life. It started in 1978 at the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun. Early jobs showed his skill in battle and leading others. People who worked with him said he was great at encouraging his soldiers, a skill he showed during Operation Blue Star in 1984. A fellow officer said, "He really understood strategy and always looked out for his men. He was a true leader." His work went beyond fighting. He helped plan and run many training exercises, using new ideas he learned at the United States Army War College in 1992. He was a great teacher, and his clear and interesting classes were called "masterclasses" by his students. His hard work earned him many awards, including the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal in 2005. After retiring in 2010, he kept helping the army, guiding young officers and sharing his wisdom. His story is an inspiration to all who knew him.
