Digvijay Singh - A Lifestory

Digvijay Singh is an Indian politician, currently a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha. Born on February 28, 1947, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, he hails from the former princely state of Raghogarh. Singh's political career began in the late 1970s, and he quickly rose through the ranks of the Indian National Congress party. He served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in Madhya Pradesh from 1977 to 1984, and later as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the Lok Sabha from 1984 to 1989.

Singh's most prominent role was as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, a position he held for two consecutive terms from 1993 to 2003. During his tenure, he focused on decentralization of power to local bodies, implementing various rural development programs, and promoting education.
