A person, known for telling good stories, has made a special way for themself as a writer. Born in 1974, this person, who used to work for the government and talk on the radio, was not always going to be a famous writer. They first worked in money, but their love for old stories and history made them write the famous Shiva Trilogy. Their first book, The Immortals of Meluha, came out in 2010. It quickly became a best seller, starting a big success in books. The other books in the trilogy, The Secret of the Nagas (2011) and The Oath of the Vayuputras (2013), made them a top writer. This person's way of writing, mixing old stories with modern ideas, was liked by many people. Their books have been changed into many different languages. Besides the Shiva Trilogy, they also wrote the Ram Chandra series, including Ram: Scion of Ikshvaku (2015), Sita: Warrior of Mithila (2017), and Raavan: Enemy of Aryavarta (2019), and War of Lanka (2021). Their work has gotten them a lot of good words, with people they work with often saying how well they make detailed, interesting worlds. They also got the Pride of India Award in 2014.
