Aishe Ghosh is an Indian student leader and activist, known for her role as the President of the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU). She rose to prominence during the 2019 protests against fee hikes and other policy changes at JNU. Born and raised in Durgapur, West Bengal, Ghosh pursued her higher education at JNU, enrolling in the Master's program in International Relations. Her involvement in student politics began during her time at JNU, where she actively participated in various student movements and campaigns.
Ghosh's leadership skills and dedication to student welfare led to her election as the JNUSU President in 2019. As President, she played a crucial role in mobilizing students and leading protests against the university administration's decisions, which were perceived as antistudent and exclusionary.
